The power is in the seed or in the oil of the seed – the green gold

“In vino veritas” = in wine there is truth, but the seed contains all the information of the grape. And the oil is the essence of the seed. This is where the soul of every grape is revealed –
and a taste that always enchants. That is what organic grape seed oil contains: What power resides in each individual grape seed?

Description

After the grape harvest, the grape seeds from the pomace that remain when the grapes are pressed are carefully separated and dried. Grape seeds have an oil content of 12 to 16 percent.  When pressed gently, only about a quarter of this oil is obtained. So, for one litre of grape seed oil, we need about 45 kilograms of grape seeds. This amounts to two tonnes of grapes. In order to preserve the valuable nutrients, the Strassner organic oil mill in Pöttsching processes our seeds in an extremely gentle pressing process using a stone mill.

Valuable natural antioxidants provide protection against ageing! It contains around 90 percent unsaturated fatty acids (Omega 9, Omega 6 and Omega-3), about 75 percent of which is the particularly valuable linoleic acid. Both help to keep one’s cholesterol level in optimal balance. A true panacea, just like the polyphenol it contains, procyanidin (OPCs are radical scavengers), which is important for cell protection and thus is said to reduce the risk of cancer. It has a positive effect on the metabolism and combats circulatory diseases, supporting the entire cardiovascular system. The vitamin E content in grape seed oil is three times that of olive oil. In addition, it contains lecithin for the nerves and brain. It also contains resveratrol, vitamin A, B6 and K, as well as valuable minerals, which also protect the skin from premature ageing. The oil regulates the skin’s fat balance. Since it is well absorbed,
the pores do not become clogged. It tones and has a soothing and anti-inflammatory effect on stressed to sore skin.

Grape seed oil – used as cooking oil: for salads, marinades, leafy salads, vegetables, refining soups, sauces and pasta dishes, with cheese and bread. It is suitable for searing meat, poultry, fish and mushrooms (smoke point is 190° C). Note the minerals and vitamins!!!
Tip: add a teaspoon of the cold-pressed oil to yoghurt or quark every day.

As a cosmetic: skin and hair care
Tip: our premium cold-pressed organic grape seed oil can even be used for skin care. Grape seed oil is also suitable as a body oil, because it absorbs well. The effect of the exclusively natural ingredients can be felt immediately. Skin looks supple and vital. You can combine the grape seed oil with essential oils or simply add a few drops of your favourite perfume to the grape seed oil. Also very pleasant: add a little grape seed oil to a hot bath.

Please only use organic grape seed oil, because pesticides can also end up stored in the seed. The following also applies to all vegetable oils: store them in a cool and dark place, and airtight!
