Dark ruby garnet with dark core and discreet rim brightening. Very spicy, with fruit of fully ripe heart cherries and pronounced aromas of dark berries, such as currant, blackberry and sour cherry. Dry with mild acidity. Soft, ripe tannins, spicy and substantial on the palate. Strong, elegant body. High iron content in the soil provides peppery, mineral spice. Harmoniously long finish with a pleasant fruit aftertaste.

A characterful Blaufränkisch from the renowned Hochäcker vineyard – powerful, mineral-driven, and impressively complex. Aged in oak and sourced from one of the finest sites in Mittelburgenland, this wine offers character, structure, and elegance.

The combination of dark berry fruit, fine spice, and mineral depth makes it a standout example of its variety. With silky tannins and a harmonious acidity, it shows both power and finesse on the palate.

Tasting Notes

Appearance:
Dark ruby garnet with violet rim and nearly black core – dense and radiant in the glass.

Nose:
Powerful and full of finesse – aromas of ripe black cherries, blackberries, and forest berries, underpinned by fine herbal spice, subtle roasted notes, and mineral nuances. Multi-layered, deep, and terroir-driven.

Palate:
Dry, with mild acidity and ripe, velvety tannins. The fruity spice continues on the palate, carried by elegant structure and a full-bodied texture. Long, harmonious finish with mineral echoes and clear fruit.

Serving Temperature & Food Pairing:
