The Iby winery not only makes Blaufränkisch, it also “lives” it. One looks back on a history rich in tradition, which goes back to the year 1884 to Anton I.. Since then, the knowledge and love of the wine craft have been passed down from generation to generation. Today, the winemaking couple Anton Markus and Eva Maria cultivate a vineyard of 40 hectares in the best locations. Chevalier 2019 – Intense color core, pronounced aromatics, cranberry, blueberry, cassis, fine spice, full-bodied, dense and tightly meshed drinking, fine tannin on the finish, very long lasting, cocoa and kumquat on the finish. Merlot 2020 – Strong color, intense nose, black cherry, nougat, dark chocolate, clove, rich, tight, lively texture, firm tannin, marzipan and candied orange in the finish.
