Description
Chevalier Blaufränkisch – Power & Elegance in Perfect Harmony
A distinctive Blaufränkisch from the finest vineyards of Horitschon: Ried Hochäcker, Gfanger and Ried Dürrau. The grapevines have an average age of 33 years.
Deep garnet red with an almost black core – radiant and dense, with violet reflections. Even in the glass, the Chevalier reveals its concentration through elegant “church windows.” On the nose, an intense, spicy-fruity melange: ripe blackberries, blackcurrants and sour cherries meet delicate hints of dark chocolate, damsons and fine herbs.
On the palate, the Chevalier is powerful, structured and full of finesse – with ripe fruit, silky tannins and beautifully integrated oak. Dark berries, cherries and subtle roasted aromas merge with mild, perfectly balanced acidity. The wine lingers long, elegant and present – underpinned by mineral depth and a touch of noble bitterness.
A Blaufränkisch with impressive structure and noble sophistication – truly a “knight” in the glass.
